Magana Castle

This castle was only 15 minutes away from Valdelavilla. It was very surreal to be in area that had a castle, let alone many. This castle was actually small in respect to other castles. Once inside you realize that what makes this building appear so large are it's walls. The actual living space is not as large as I would have thought.

The holes that are in the structure were defensive holes so that the knights could fire upon any enemies that were trying to attack. Inside the castle it was hard to imagine how the building was kept warm in the winter. One fact I found curious was that the livestock held rooms within the living quarters of the castle, even though it had a large courtyard.
